Friends of Betty Hyatt Park
The mission of Friends of Betty Hyatt Park (FOBHP) is to promote the use and enjoyment of Betty Hyatt Park by community members and visitors. FOBHP members meet on the 3rd Tuesday of each month to discuss plans for park events and improvement projects. While this park friends group falls under the WHCA, membership is open to anyone interested.

Redevelopment Concept Plan
We surveyed community members to ask how people currently use and hope to use Betty Hyatt Park. Based on this feedback, the concept plan shown above includes resurfacing and redesigning the "tennis court" area into a multi-use surface with a small track, futsal court, artificial turf area, and fitness equipment. It also includes replacing the impervious driveway through the center of the park with amphitheater seating and more green space, as well as the addition of storm water retention areas, a bocce court, and accessible entrances throughout the park.

...I'm a city girl. I have really good neighbors (we all watch out for each other) and I like the convenience of being able to walk everywhere.
